Cuzco Peru

Cuzco, gelegen in den südlichen Sierras, ist eine der meistbesuchten Städte Perus. Einst war es die Hauptstadt der Inka-Dynastie und heute ist es das Tor zum Heiligen Tal und die Anden-Hauptstadt Perus. Cuzco strahlt Charme und Pracht aus und ist voller Charakter. Das Herz von Cuzco ist die Plaza de Armas, wo man die Kathedrale und die Kirche Compañía de Jesús sowie andere bemerkenswerte Gebäude finden kann. Die Architektur der Stadt ist eine interessante Mischung aus spanischer Kolonialarchitektur, die auf Inka-Ruinen gebaut wurde, und allem anderen, was eine einzigartige Melange aus spanischen und indigenen Einflüssen darstellt. Die malerischen, engen, kopfsteingepflasterten Gassen von Cuzco zu erkunden, ist eine Quelle endloser Faszination. Cuzco ist eine ständige Verbindung zur Vergangenheit, seine Straßen sind voller bunter Kostüme, Handwerksläden, bemerkenswerter Inka-Ruinen und überall ist lokales Flair zu spüren. Hatunrumiyoc befindet sich in der Nähe der Plaza de Nazarenas, nicht weit von der Plaza de Armas entfernt. Es ist eine enge Fußgängerstraße, die für ihre Inka-Mauern berühmt ist, bei denen riesige Steine präzise so bearbeitet wurden, dass sie ohne Mörtel oder Beton zusammenpassen. Etwa auf halber Strecke der Straße findet man das Meisterwerk, einen Stein mit 12 Ecken. Cuzco ist die praktischste Stadt, von der aus Touristen Besuche nach Machu Picchu, ins Heilige Tal der Inkas und zu anderen Inka-Stätten in der Region beginnen können. Die fantastische Architektur der Stadt und die atemberaubende natürliche Umgebung machen Cuzco zu einer Stadt, die schwer zu verlassen ist.
