Seoul ist die Hauptstadt Koreas mit einer über 600-jährigen Geschichte. Da sich hier Bildung, Politik und Wirtschaft konzentrieren, bildet die Stadt den Mittelpunkt des Landes. Für Besucher besonders reizvoll sind die vielen historischen Stätten, wie z.B. die Paläste Gyeongbokgung und Changdeokgung sowie die traditionelle Kultur im Hanok-Dorf Bukchon, im Viertel Insadong und auf dem Namdaemun-Markt.
